The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Cleveland woman must have been planning for a massive Fourth of July party after Solon police caught her with hundreds of dollars worth of fresh meat in her car.

Editor's Note: According to the police department the value may have been $450, but that is unconfirmed until the police report is confirmed.

On June 15 officer were called to the Giant Eagle on Aurora Road for a shoplifting report.

The store manager said a woman, 34, with a small child in tow was in the fresh meats section; the same woman who had been arrested at the Fairview Park store for shoplifting.

The manager said the woman stuffed four packs of beef tenderloin in her purse and left the store where she got into a car driven by a man.

When confronted by employees she became "belligerent."

Twinsburg police stopped their car shortly after where they found 29 packages of beef, 18 from the Solon store and 11 from Bainbridge.

She was charged with misdemeanor theft as the total value was under $5,000.
