At about 7:45 p.m. Monday, a Jeep Wrangler driving east on U.S. 422 drove off the side of the highway and into the trees. The driver, 35-year-old Solon resident Julie Gordon, was injured in the crash and taken to Hillcrest Hospital. Her 3-year-old son was also in the car, but was not injured.

Harvey picked up the son to take him to the hospital to be with his mother. But after turning around on an access road, her police cruiser was rear-ended by a car driven by Cynthia Burke, 32, of North Royalton.Β Also in that car was her 9-year-old son and a 10-year-old girl from Chagrin Falls.Β
