Narcotics Go Missing From Solon Nursing Home

Detectives are investigating the whereabouts of 14 oxycodone pills gone missing after a drug shipment

Earlier this month, a nurse at Solon Pointe at Emerald Ridge received a shipment of 56 oxycodone pills divided into four packs.

The problem is that, according to police, the nurse did not properly inventory the drugs, and one of the pill packs has disappeared.

The assisted living center and nursing home, located at 5625 Emerald Ridge Parkway, reported the missing drugs on April 11.

The four nurses on duty were all ordered to go to St. Vincent hospital to take a drug test. Three of them went, but one resigned because the nurse felt it was an inappropriate request.

Police say the nurse who resigned is not the same one that botched the inventory.
