Motorcycle Driver Hospitalized After Crash With Dump Truck

The victim was rushed to Metro Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old Bedford Heights man was rushed to the hospital after hitting a dump truck on US 422 on July 13.

According to police, the truck was going easy around 3:54 a.m. when it made a u-turn in the vehicle turnaround to go west. The driver didn't see the motorcycle coming as it struck the rear, passenger side of the truck.

Solon EMS rushed him to Metro Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but were uncertain of his current condition.

The truck driver, 58, of Youngstown, was charged with right-of-way when turning left, a misdemeanor.
