Man Who Caused Aurora Road Traffic Mess Charged With Drunken Driving

The information in this report is from the Solon Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A 39-year-old East Cleveland man was arrested and charged with drunken driving after he crashed his van into a utility pole on Aurora Road on April 5, according to Solon Police.

That crash, in which no one was injured, has snarled traffic near the 32000 block of Aurora Road for days and caused some power outages.

A witness said he saw the white van crash into the poll. Officers gave the driver a sobriety test, which he failed. He also failed to provide a valid breath test.
