LAKEWOOD PATCH:

Man Dancing in the Street With His Pants Down

Police received a report of a man “dancing with his pants down and acting very strange” in the 2190 block of McKinley Avenue at around 10 a.m. June 22. Officers were unable to find the man. But in case you’re wondering, it was a full moon.

SOLON PATCH:

Home Invader Caught Watching Dirty Movie

Police arrested a man at a Liberty Road home after they say he entered the home without permission and watched a dirty movie.

The homeowners asked police to watch their home while they were on vacation and said that Benjamin Green, 20, no known address, was specifically not allowed on the property.

But on June 30, an officer watching the home spotted Green running around the back corner of the house. He said that his parents lived there.

Police said that a back door was left unlocked by the homeowner, but inside they found a cell phone with a "pornographic movie on pause, some crumpled tissues, a pack of cigarettes, and a pair of tennis shoes," according to the police report.

A glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue was found behind a couch in the sunroom as well.

Green was arrested for criminal trespass, a fourth-degree felony.

WESTLAKE PATCH:

Woman Ditches Daughter in Store During Shoplift Attempt

Here’s one woman who won’t be up for Mother of the Year. Westlake Police say a 44-year-old Mayfield Heights woman with a long list of aliases and arrests stole two speakers  valued at $400 from a Crocker Park Boulevard store on the evening of  June 15.

She tried to ditch them in a parking garage, just like she ditched her 12-year-old daughter by leaving her behind in the store.

The woman was arrested on two counts of theft, Possession of Criminal Tools (the purse she hid the speakers in), Criminal Trespassing, Child Endangering and Obstructing Official Business (for running away when told to stop).

County Children’s Services was notified of the incident.
