Man Caught Using Counterfeit Money After Filing False Police Report

A Cleveland man was arrested for trying to use counterfeit money and filing a false police report in Solon, according to Solon Police.

Jerome P. Robinson, 28, of Cleveland was arrested and charged with criminal simulation and falsification after it was discovered that he had used or attempted to use counterfeit $50 bills at various locations, according to a police report.

In addition, police say he filed a false police report in Solon after he tried to pass some of the counterfeit bills in Cleveland and the Cleveland Police had been called.Β

Police say he made up a story about getting the counterfeit bills from a Solon bankand was told that he would have to file a report about it in Solon.
