Man Bounces Check on Ferrari, Wrecks It, Wants Another

A 33-year-old Hudson man was able to con his way into a $197,000 Ferrari Spider, even though he didn't have the money to clear the check.

Raymond Lamarca was charged with theft, a third-degree felony.

According to police, he purchased the souped-up car from R&H Motorcars on Davis Industrial Parkway on May 16 using a check that bounced big time.

Apparently one stolen car wasn't enough.

Lanarca called them for another car to be delivered to Shaker Square, but they wisely took police with them.

Officers said the car had been in a wreck the previous Friday in Akron. After the accident he fled and was later caught for drunk driving and leaving the scene.

He was connected to a similar crime in Akron with a Mercedes-Benz, which the dealership recovered on its own.
