K-9 Stryker Returns to Police Department

The K-9 officer was out for three weeks.

Sniffing out crime in Solon is a little easier now that one of its four-legged officers is back.

The Solon Police Department announced via its Facebook page on Tuesday that K-9 Stryker returned to the force.

"Stryker is back... and he has about a month's worth of saved up energy to prove it," according to the post. "Thank you" to all of you who were worried about Stryker and wished him well. He's in great shape and ready to get back work!"

The beloved officer was out for three weeks after it was discovered that his stomach was turned.

One member of the force joked that Stryker got more "get well" cards than when human members are injured in the line of duty.
