Solon Police: Jailed Man Takes Out Frustration on TV Remote

The 18-year-old, in Solon's jail on charges of stealing a purse, decided to smash the remote for the jail's common room television

An 18-year-old man in the Solon jail on a theft charge decided to add another to his rap sheet while locked up.

Brendan Lipke, of Cleveland, was arrested on charges of stealing a fellow worker's purse on May 11. Lipke worked at Panini's Bar & Grille in Solon. Police say in the report that Lipke removed the purse from a shelf in the back of the kitchen and put it in his car.

While in jail on May 12, police say that Lipke decided to destroy the remote control for the television in the jail's common area.Β

As a result, Lipke now faces a criminal damaging charge as well.
