IRS: Glenwillow Woman Pleaded Guilty to False Income Tax Returns

Karon Jones, of Glenwillow, pleaded guilty June 20 to four counts of filing a false income tax return

A Glenwillow woman pleaded guilty Monday to filing false income tax returns because of unreported income to her daycare business, according to the Internal Revenue Service.

In 2007 and 2008, Karon Jones did not report $526,706 worth of corporate income earned by Norak Inc., her daycare business. She has more than $160,000 worth of unpaid corporate income taxes from those two years, according to the indictment against her.

Jones also did not report $184,799 in personal income and has more than $40,000 in unpaid personal income taxes.
