Internet Rap Battle Gets Solon Teens In Trouble

The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Two Solon teens face possible disciplinary action at school and criminal charges after an Internet rap battle went overboard and became threatening, according to a Solon Police report.

The two 15-year-olds were trying to out rap each other in videos posted to a social media site. One of the teens created a video on Facebook disrespecting the other teen, who then made a video in retalition, according to the report. That video included threats, according to police.

The videos were forwarded on to friends, who were alarmed enough to go to school administrators.
