Two cars were broken into outside Panera Bread in Solon, adding to a long list of similar break-ins in Solon in recent months.

Solon Police say that the cars were broken into between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on May 10 while their driver's were inside Panera Bread on Kruse Drive.

Both cars, a 2006 Volkswagen and a 2003 Honda, had rear passengers window broken and bags stolen, containing calculators, books, a laptop and other items.

The total value of the items in the two thefts were about $1,400.

Solon Police have investigated a number of similar car break-ins in recent months. The break-ins are similar in that they've occured in parking lots in which backseat windows have been smashed out and laptops have been stolen from the cars.

Recently, three cars were broken into at Grantwood Golf Course in similar fashion.
