Good Samaritan Puts Out Car Fire, Is Then Arrested On Felony Warrant

A 46-year-old cashier at Sunmart in Solon did a good thing on March 30: He who had refused to leave her car and put out the fire.

So how did this end with him being arrested by ?

The cashier, 46-year-old James LaMont, of Bedford, was arrested because he was wanted on a felony warrant from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office.

LaMont was wanted for a probation violation, according to a police report.

The woman he helped, a 34-year-old Cleveland woman, had also been arrested and charged with drunken driving. She had refused to leave her car, despite the fire, because she could not get her keys out of the ignition.
