Girl Hospitalized After Underage Drinking Party; Homeowner Cited

A Solon homeowner was cited for allowing underage drinking after a 16-year-old girl was found unconscious during a house party on Pine Lane.

The girl was transported to St. Vincent Solon Medical Campus. Cited and accused of allowing the drinking was David Sternberg, 49.

According to police, the the homeowners were hosting a party for their 16-year-old daughter and her friends. They did not know there was drinking going on.

At about 11:45 p.m., police say Sternberg walked downstairs and caught teens drinking beer and vodka. He confiscated the unopened beer he could find and threw it away and then went back upstairs, according to police.

An hour later, authorities were called about the girl needing medical attention.
