FBI Still Searching for Spirikaitis; $1.5M Home Foreclosed

The 51-year-old Solon man is still running from authorities.

Nearly a month after a standoff outside of his Liberty Road home, the FBI is still searching for Alex Spirikaitis.

Special Agent Vicki Anderson said there is nothing new they can release about the case, only that the investigation is ongoing. They are asking the public to look at his pictures and notify them with any information.

Spirikaitis, 51, is wanted after police and FBI were in a 15-hour standoff outside his home on July 17. He was involved in fraud and corruption charges.

He was the CEO of the Taupa Lithuanian Credit Union on E. 185th Street which was closed a week before the standoff because of nearly $23 million in embezzlement, the charges Spirikaitis is running from.

Authorities are moving forward with the foreclosure of his $1.5 million home, which they believe was paid for using the stolen money from his credit union, according to the Credit Union Times.
