Drunken Woman Found Sleeping In Car On Aurora Road

A Bedford woman faces charges of drunken driving and drug abuse after a Solon Police officer found her sleeping in her car in the middle of Aurora Road, according to a police report.

Arrested and charged with Tamara Boykin, 37, of Bedford. She is charged with drunken driving, drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and stopping or slow speed, according to the report.

On Dec. 16 at about 3 a.m., a Solon Police officer found a car stopped on Aurora Road near the 31500 block. The brake lights of the car were on, and it was running.

The officer approached the car to find a woman sleeping in the driver's seat with the car in drive and her foot on the brake. The officer reached into the car and put it in park before rousing the woman, reads the report.

The woman failed a sobriety test and blew a .176 on a breathalyzer test, according to the report. The officer also found a small bag of marijuana in the woman's possession.

She was arrested and taken to Solon jail.
