Drunken Driving Checkpoint Leads to Numerous Arrests
The Solon Police conducted a drunken driving checkpoint on Aug. 25, leading to a number of arrests for drunken driving, drugs and other citations.

The checkpoint was conducted at in Solon from approximately 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
During those six hours, 469 cars were checked and 34 were diverted for further investigation.

The following actions were taken:
- 7 drunken driving arrests
- 7 citations issued for Driving under Suspension
- 1 citation issued for No Driver’s License
- 7 citations issued for marijuana possession
- 2 citations issued for possession of drug paraphernalia
- 3 citations issued for open alcohol container
- 3 warrant arrests made for other agencies
- 2 Felony drug charges
- 13 vehicles towed
