Drunken Driving Arrests in Solon

Here is a roundup of recent drunken driving arrests in Solon. Remember, these are only arrests and and are not convictions.

Rachel McBride, 32, of Macedonia was arrested and charged with drunken driving on Nov. 3 at 1:56 a.m. after she was seen running a red light on Aurora Road as she turned south on Richmond Road, and then continuing to weave and cross the center line on Richmond Road, according to the police report. She was stopped south of Solon Road and submitted to a breath test with a result of .182, over the .08 legal limit, according to the report.

William J. Szuhay, 69, of Solon was arrested and charged with drunken driving on Nov. 4 at 1:19 a.m. following a traffic stop on Aurora Road for speeding and an improper turn, according to the police report. He submitted to a breath test with a result of .128.

Justin Imler, 33, of Akron was arrested and charged with drunken driving on Nov. 4 at 1:35 a.m. after he was seen driving south on Liberty Road from Pettibone Road going 64 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to the police report. He submitted to a breath test with a result of .157.Β 

Megan Cook, 23, of Solon, was arrested and charged with drunken driving and failure to maintain assured clear distance on Nov. 4 at 5:43 p.m. after a crash near Pettibone and SOM Center roads, according to the police report. Officers said Cook struck the rear of another car at the intersection and appeared to be under the influence. Cook submitted to a breath test with a result of .210, according to the police report.Β  The driver of the other car complained of neck pain but refused treatment.
