Cleveland Woman Caught Stealing $700 of Old Navy Clothes

The following information was provided by the Solon Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Solon police said a 20-year-old Cleveland woman got caught shoplifting $706 worth of clothing from an Old Navy store on Kruse Drive on July 8.

Employees say the woman was running from the store with a bag full of 54 clothing items toward a car in the parking lot, with another woman and three kids in it.

Police talked with the woman in the car who said she was dropping the other person off to buy something and that she sprinted down the parking lot after exiting the store.

Police found the bag of clothing in the bushes near the store and found the suspect hiding in the bathroom of Mustard Seed Market thanks to a tip from shoppers.

She was charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
