Bogus Xanax Prescription Leads to Felony Charge

Police are looking for a Bainbridge woman who has a history of similar activity.

Police are looking for a woman who tried to purchase a prescription drug with false information on July 1.

A warrant has been issued for Nancy Moore, 47, a white female from Bainbridge. She is charged with deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a fourth-degree felony.

According to police, the pharmacist at Walgreens on SOM Center Road called about a fraudulent prescription placed for Xanax, a depressant commonly used to treat anxiety, on June 28.

The paperwork was a forgery that was intended to replicate the Cleveland Clinic, but the pharmacist didn't fall for it.

She attempted the same crime on June 9 with 12 tabs of Oxycodone.

Moore is wanted for a similar crime at an Aurora Walgreens as well as felony warrants from Streetsboro and Hudson.
