ABC Streets Hit By Thefts: Work Van and Snowblower Stolen

believe the recent theft of a work van and snowblower from two different homes in the ABC Streets are connected.

Police are searching for a "person of interest" who has numerous arrest warrants on file from neighboring departments for similar crimes.

On Feb. 17 at 724 a.m., a 1995 Chevy work van filled with tools and a ladder was stolen from her home on Edgemoor Avenue. Police found a Buick parked on the street nearby. It was still running and the steering column was peeled back. Police learned the car had been reported stolen from Garfield Heights.

Witness statements have the van being taken sometime around 6:40 a.m.

On nearby Duneden Avenue at 7:36 a.m., a resident told police that someone entered his garage and stole his snowblower. The garage door had been left open.

Police believe the suspect loaded the snowblower in the stolen van and made off with it.

The van was found later in Cleveland, but the tools and ladder missing.
