An 8-year-old Solon girl attempting to ride her bike across state Route 91 from Carriage Park Drive was hit by a car at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to police.
Solon police and fire were called to the scene and reported the girl was hit by a northbound car, thrown onto the hood and fell to the ground in the right lane of 91 north.
She was taken to Hillcrest Hospital where she is reported to be in stable condition, police said.

The driver of the car was not hurt, and the crash is still under investigation.
