$24,000 Stolen From Woman's Home Was Taken From Safe

A 45-year-old woman reported on Aug. 27 that about $24,348 was stolen from her home between July 28 and Aug. 9.

According to the police report, the money was taken while the woman was in the hospital.

The money was stored in a safe, which showed no signs of forced entry. Only a few people had access to the safe.

The woman reported the theft weeks later, according to police, because she was questioning people about the money, and whether someone had moved it from her house for safekeeping.
