Feeling a Bit Down? 3 Things to Help Inspire You

Yes, everyday life can be a challenge. Need some inspiration from those who "climbed a mountain?"

Life is tough for everyone. And we all have a mountain we would like to overcome. So how do you climb it?

Patch and Grape-Nuts have teamed up to present stories about your neighbors — neighbors who have faced challenges — aka mountains — that would seem insurmountable to many of us. But not to the people we've featured in this series, Journeys.

Click through the stories below to read more about how people in your community are not just climbing mountains, they're moving them.

1. This Q&A with Strongsville native Adam Pervez proves that having a swanky job doesn't equal happiness. Pervez set out on a two-year journey he calls the Happy Nomad Tour that will take him to six continents to learn, teach and help.

2. Instead of donating bread to Haiti, Rick and Debbi Sands set out to build a bakery in the impoverished nation. The Sands, owners of Great Harvest Bread Co. in Stow, raised money, had the bakery built and will fly down in June to set up the equipment and teach the Haitians how to bake bread.

3. Rush for a Cause's founder and Brecksville-Broadview Heights alum, Matt Galland is a champion for catastrophically injured athletes. Read how he raised money to benefit injured student athletes and how he's still helping while serving as a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

This is just a sample of the inspiring stories in our Journeys partnership. Click here to read them all.
