Solon Music in Motion and Twinsburg Great Expectations: One night Only An Evening of Showchoir
Two of the
premier show choirs in Ohio are joining together for an evening of fun and
musical performances on November 2! Twinsburg High School’s Great
Expectations and Solon High School’s Music
In Motion will perform both individually and as a combined ensemble for a
concert Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 pm. In addition to premiering their competition
shows for the upcoming season, the show will also feature soloists and small
groups from each school.
“People
assume that because we are often going head-to-head at show choir competitions
that our neighboring choirs don’t get along.
That’s not the case. The
directors have become great friends over the last few years of competition and
our kids often hang out together.” Says
Gary Lewis, Director of Solon’s Music In
Motion. “We thought it would be fun
to get the two groups of students together this year before the competition
season.”
Randall S. Lanoue, director of Twinsburg’s Great Expectations adds, “We wanted to do more than just perform our individual shows, so what’s better than adding 4 combined numbers with the kids of both groups? Together we have 94 singer-dancers, a 25 piece band and a 19 member crew. This will definitely be a major event.”
