Weather Update: Expect a Snowy Rush Hour

The lake-effect snow warning has been extended until 7 p.m. tonight.

The snow should have been gone by now. It's not.

And that means today's rush hour commute will likely be slow moving and unpleasant.

The National Weather Service has extended the lake effect snow warning to 7 p.m. tonight and warns that up to an inch of snow could fall in 30 minutes this afternoon.

Snowfall began early Monday morning and has dumped about half a foot on Solon.

The band of snow is moving south and west and snowfall is stretching as far south as Canton.

It should taper off tonight, with a 30 percent chance of light snowfall expected throughout the day tomorrow.
