Solon's Nishanth Uli On Jeopardy Again Tonight

Solon native Nishanth Uli continues his quest to be Jeopardy College champion on tonight's episode.

Solon native Nishanth Uli continues his quest to be Jeopardy College champion on tonight's episode of the popular thinking person's game show.

Uli, a 2011 Solon High graduate who now attends Washington University in St. Louis, soundly defeated his two opponents on the May 10 episode of the Jeopardy! College Championships to advance to the next round.

Uli collected $$22,801 in the win. Uli is now one of nine college students still alive in the tournament.

He now faces Julia Sprangers, from University of Wisconson at Madison and Jim Coury from Georgetown University.

The episode airs at 7:30 p.m. tonight on WOIO.

Uli, who now attends Washington University in St. Louis and studies biology and history, is one of 15 college students participating in the Jeopardy! College Championship, a two-week event that started May 6 and will earn the winner $100,000 and a slot in the Tournament of Champions.

A win tonight will give Uli a berth in the two-day championship, which will air on Thursday and Friday.

The tournament was filmed in April.
