The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning beginning Thursday morning and extending through Saturday morning.
A Lake Effect Watch had been called for, but was upgraded to a warning at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
A cold front will move into the area tonight, allowing an arctic airmass to settle over Northeast Ohio.
Forecasters say inland snow accumulations could reach six inches to a foot, with up to two feet of accumulation possible in areas closest to the lake. Basically, the closer to the lake, the greater chance for higher snow accumulations.
