A flood warning is in effect for Cuyahoga County, including Solon, until 1 p.m.

The National Weather Service says that melting snow combined with heavy rains overnight has led to a rapid rise in the water level of area rivers and streams.

Forecasters say that lowland areas are likely to flood and that common problem spots will be flooded this morning.

In Solon, rain showers are expected to continue until 3 p.m. when the rain is expected to turn into snow. Some thunder is possible, along with patchy, dense fog before noon.Β

Stay tuned for more updates.
