Perhaps the most popular answer was Starbucks -- with a drive-thru. Facebook friend Tammara Sweeney said "Starbucks would be great there."

Another popular choice was a Chick-Fil-A. This editor, who is addicted to their sandwiches, thinks this is a terrible idea.

Think Small!

Facebook friend Amy Heller Goldman would love to see a home-grown business there:Β  "A good ol' fashioned "small business" bakery. Or, some sort of unique home decor/art store."

Reader paints a lovely picture with this idea: "A nice bistro with a patio in the back enclosed by trees." How nice!

Giant Eagle's Gas Station

Solon Patch readers may know that a new is being built at the nearby Solar Center. . Many Solon Patch readers think it's a no-brainer to build the GetGo gas station where the old Sunoco is, since it's already a station.

Reader says: "Hmmmmm, how about a GetGo? Or would that make too much sense?"

Anything but...

is against the Starbucks idea. She says: "no starbucks please......way too many of them anyway."

says he knows what he doesn't want: a bank or a drugstore.

How about some trees?

Why does it have to be a store or a restaurant? What's wrong with a little slice of park land, wonders

"How about a nice patch of trees and flowers and park benches for people to sit in once they get their food from the existing fast food joints that surround the area," she writes.

Pacific East ... or a biblical artifact

Forget coffee. Forget chicken sandwiches. Forget parks.

How about the Ark of the Covenant? Yes, the Ark of the Covenant that this guy looked at.

That's what Facebook friend Dan Polster suggests: Either bringing Pacific East back to Solon or getting the Ark.

"If not [Pacific East] then I'd go big, like the Lost Ark of the Covenant or something like that."

He adds, after some prompting from this editor: "Yeah, I think the Ark would be good for Solon. It would offer something more than one could find in, y'know, Pepper Pike or Chagrin Falls."

I can only agree.
