It would be exciting if we didn't have Caribou and the new yogurt place that just opened...

Great news! I'm tired of driving to either Twinsburg or Bainbridge for Starbucks coffee.

Bad news for local businesses.

I find it interesting that Solon residents complain about their "retail choices", but yet do not support the ones that are in the city. Most recent example: Stein Mart. But, I'm sure people will not be short of excuses what they found "wrong" with this store. I loved it.

Be warned. Starbucks will be the end of your favorite coffee hangouts. I don't & never will support starbucks, for that very reason.

Starbucks will be an asset and so will Menchies. I have to drive out of our city to go to Starbucks and I know many that do the same. As for Menchies, the new yogurt store cannot hold a candle to Menchies. Again I drive to Chagrin for frozen yogurt. The new store will not make it here as it doesn't have half the choices and toppings that Menchies does and also no reward card. Solon will do great with these additions and Giant Eagle goes without saying. It surely needs a transformation.

Very excited!!!

You starbucks addicted yuppies are laughable. Their coffee is no better than Dunkin or Caribou. At this point ANY new place in Solon is good news. Just as long as we keep the Popeyes, Rallys, Check Cashing, and drive thru liquor, and strip clubs away.

What Giant Eagle needs ....is to change itself into a Heinens!
Mimi Hollander May 07, 2012 at 10:18 PM
I don't think this is the case. If residents have a favorite coffee hangout, why would they suddenly change to Starbucks? It is their favorite for a reason and if they loved Starbucks that much, they would probably drive to the closest one. Not only does Starbucks have the best coffee IMHO, they will enhance the "upscale" feel of the new development which would be a great asset to our city.

Love the idea and I love Giant Eagle!!

Giant Eagle is like the Cleveland Browns compared to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Poor management, customer service, and lack of registers open on Saturdays. Go to Heinens.
