St. Vincent Opens Urgent Care In Solon Today; ER Now Closed

St. Vincent's emergency department in Solon transitions to an urgent care today.

Today, the St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Solon becomes an urgent care.

The campus located at 33001 Solon Road will no longer offer 24-hour emergency room services.

The urgent care will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends.

"We feel confident that the emergency services needs of Solon and the nearby communities are being met with the expansion of so many healthcare services in the area," said Dr. David F. Perse, President and CEO of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in a news release. "This new model allows St. Vincent Charity Medical Center to continue its 30-year presence in the Solon area."

St. Vincent also plans to provide occupational health services in the former emergency department.

"This new, combined model not only maximizes resources, but also demonstrates St. Vincent Charity’s commitment to the Solon area business community through its Occupational Health services," reads the news release.
