Solon Losing 79 Jobs as Company Phases Out Manufacturing Operation

A total of 241 employees work at Aclara Technologies LLC's Solon office.

On April 17, 241 employees at Aclara Technologies were told 79 people would lose their jobs. 

The company is expected to start phasing out its manufacturing operations in October, according to a Crain's Cleveland Business story

The Solon-based company makes automated meter-reading equipment related to software. Aclara will be done phasing out its manufacturing business by March and plans to keep its office workers employed in the Solon location.
