Second Cash Mob Planned in Solon

A second cash mob, sponsored by the Solon Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for 5 p.m. Oct. 3. The business-to-be-mobbed will be a surprise.

The next cash mob is scheduled at 5 p.m. on Oct. 3. The business that will be mobbed will be a surprise, and will be announced the day of the event, said Chamber Chairman Jim Kelvington.

A cash mob is an event to encourage people to shop local businesses by having a crowd descend on a specific business and have each person spend at least $20. They are usually organized through social media and, of course, good old fashioned word of mouth.
