New Restaurant Planned For Old Max & Erma's In Solon
Burntwood Tavern, which has locations in Chagrin Falls and Rocky River, hopes to open at the corner of Solon Road and Kruse Drive
A new restaurant may be coming to Solon at the old Max & Erma's location.
Burntwood Tavern, which has locations in Chagrin Falls and Rocky River, is looking to open at the now-vacant building on the northwest corner of Solon Road and Kruse Drive, according to Solon Planning Department documents.
The building owner, George Simon, is seeking approval from the Solon City Council for an extra driveway to the property, improvements to the building facade and landscaping and the construction of a covered patio.

The planning commission will have its first hearing on the project on March 13.
Architects for the project already received approval from the safety committee for the new driveway onto Solon Road, on the condition that it be only right-turn-in and right-turn-out.

According to Burntwood's website, the tavern offers "straight forward with steaks, sliders, hand cut fries, smoked, planked, and wood grilled food."
