The store was originally slated to open in mid-2013. But when Giant Eagle decided to convert it into a Market District store, it pushed the timeline back.

This will be the first Market District store in the Cleveland area. The designation means the store will be more high end by offering more services, including outdoor cafe seating and more diverse food offerings.

The Solon Village project is moving along though. Some stores have been opening. The Soup Pot has re-opened in its remodelled location and and Menchie's is hosting its grand opening this weekend. Chicago Deli is planning to move its new location in the coming week.s
