Earth Fare Coming To Solon

Earth Fare, the "healthy supermarket," is moving into the old Stein Mart location at Solon Square.

Solon is getting another high-end grocery store.

Earth Fare, a healthy supermarket chain, is going to be moving into the old Stein Mart location at Solon Square. The project is going to be before the planning commission on Aug. 14.

Earth Fare, which has 28 stores in eight states, offers natural foods and healthy options. From the company's website:

What really sets Earth Fare apart from other stores is the list of things we don't offer...like any products containing high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, artificial colors and sweeteners, and synthetic growth hormones in meat and milk. We believe food should be as close to the ground as it gets, and we are proud to read the labels so you don't have to!

The store will be the latest new entry to Solon's now growing grocery store options.

Giant Eagle is building a new high-end Market District store at Solon Village and Mustard Seed Market is on Kruse Drive.

Come back to Solon Patch for more on this story after tomorrow's planning commission meeting.

This may be bad for Mustard Seed. I shop there now but their prices are so high.

Best store ever! I shop at the Rocky River store and I'm impressed with the quality and big selection of items offered. The Thursday night free kid's meals seem to be a big community draw and the healthy yogurt bar, Mediterranean, salad and hot food bars always are busy! Can't wait for opening day!

Prices are high everywhere, food cost are on the rise due to the severe drought conditions. Buy from a local mom and pop store not from a chain.

I shop at the one in Columbus and love it. Products are great and prices are comparable to Heinen's Put the good food in you now and avoid the medical concerns later
