Council Approves Grant for New Restaurant Replacing Pacific East

The renovation project qualified for a one-time grant through the city's Growth and Revitalization Incentive Program.

The owners of Saaj Restaurant, which specializes in Lebanese and Mediterranean food, will be renovating the former Pacific East restaurant thanks to a $30,000 Growth and Revitalization Incentive Program (GRIP) grant approved by Solon City Council.

The owner, Cedar Grill & Restaurant LLC, plans to spend $86,000 to renovate all 4,300-square-feet of the 1950s building at 33003 Aurora Rd. near the Solon Square Shopping Center, according to Cleveland.com.

The renovations are expected to including new doors and windows, an outdoor patio, decorative fencing with brick pillars, new landscaping and more. The exterior of the building will be built to follow the "Western Reserve" style promoted by city planners.
