Solon Singer Helps Kids Find Their Voice At 'Club Rock'
Solon Resident and Run Avril Run singer Avril Burg runs rock classes for kids at La Place in Beachwood.
Nearly 100 kids gather every week in the storefront Borders left last year to rock out to Adele, Kesha and other singers at Club Rock, the brainchild of Solon resident Avril Burg, lead singer in Run Avril Run.
Girls and boys from all over the area, including Beachwood, Cleveland Heights, Twinsburg and Solon, learn about vocals, dancing and stage precence. At the end of the 10-week sessions, the class performs a rock show at in Mayfield Heights.
