Healthy Solon Program Continues This Year
Sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic, Healthy Solon will kick off with bike race
At Monday's City Council meeting, Mayor Susan Drucker announced the has decided to sponsor Healthy Solon this year. Previously it was hosted by Medical Mutual.
"Healthy Solon will be continuing under new partnership with the Cleveland Clinic and the city of Solon," Drucker said. "They stepped forward to host Tour de Solon on Saturday, May 14, where you can ride a bike or walk with a dog."
Healthy Solon is a community health program sponsored and funded by the Cleveland Clinic and a variety of health-related partners with the common goal of providing residents with access to information, programs and resources they need to take charge of their health.

The program is free to those who live and/or work in Solon.
Drucker added the city was fortunate to be able to continue the program, and Cleveland Clinic doctors are excited, too.

"We are excited about taking part in Healthy Solon," said Dr. Donald Ford at Solon's Family Health Center. "Promoting wellness is a key focus of the Cleveland Clinic. We will have a lot more to share at Tour de Solon next month, which is the official kick-off event."
