We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Look for the kids’ planner each Monday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you.

Where/When: , Tuesday, April 26 from 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: This is a special interactive story time just for toddlers (aged 19-35 months) and their caregivers. The group will participate in fingerplays, stories and songs.

Where/When: Twinsburg High School, Wednesday, April 27 from 7-8 p.m.

Why Go: Come enjoy the Art Display in Commons and Jazz Band/Concert Band/Orchestra, in the main auditorium.

Where/When: , Saturday, April 30 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Why Go: Dust off your cape and get to the library for an afternoon of fun! Invited superheroes will use their superpowers to solve a library mystery! Then the group will enjoy a delicious snack, and make a craft to take home. 

For children ages 2-6.

Where/When: , Sunday, May 1 from 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Why Go: Join the Solon community to celebrate Earth Day with some very special treats and activities. There will be free seedlings for giveaway as well as complimentary tree maintenance info. The little ones can play on trucks and tractors. There will also be mulch for $2 a bag!
