Woman Charged with Heroin Possession in Solon

An Aurora woman was arrested July 12 during a traffic stop in Solon and charged with possessing heroin, according to the .

Melanie Semi, 33, of Aurora, was charged with felony drug possession, possession of drug abuse instruments and issued a traffic citation for weaving.

According to the police report, an officer who pulled over Semi on Aurora Road for weaving saw a syringe in the center console of the car.

Another syringe was found in her wallet and a blue bag of a substance suspected of being heroin was found in a makeup bag, according to the report.

Semi was arrested and taken to the Solon jail.
