The information in this report is from the Solon Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction

Two Warren men were arrested and charged with drug abuse after they crashed a car into a tree in Solon because they were smoking weed while driving, according to Solon Police.

The driver, a 19-year-old Warren man, lost control while driving east on U.S. 422 at about 10 p.m. on Jan. 27. The car left the road and hit a tree, according to the police report.

The car was heavily damaged, but no one was hurt in the crash.

Officials responding to the crash smelled burnt marijuana and also found about 30 grams of marijuana in the car. Both the driver and the passenger, a 36-year-old man, had been smoking, according to the report.
