Local florists are there to witness many of life's milestones: a birth, a wedding or an anniversary; a passing or a promotion; an apology, a fancy dinner or prom.

With prom and graduation season upon us -- not to mention Mother's Day on May 13 -- we're thinking about the power of the flower. And did you know? This week is Administrative Professionals Week (formerly known as Professional Secretaries Week), a time to remind your secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists and other administrative support professionals that you can't do without them.

So this week's Readers' Choice focuses on florists. We've already got your nominations (thanks, by the way!) and now it's time to vote! We'll select a winner at 5 p.m. Friday, April 27 and announce it in a story on Saturday, April 28.
