A skeleton found in June near Cedar Point amusement park were later confirmed to be the remains of Solon resident and missing boater Charles Kaplan.
Kaplan, of Solon, has been missing since his boat was found capsized near the amusement park last October.
Kaplan's companion, Pam Holstein, was found dead inside the boat last year. The Coast Guard combed the area for Kaplan, but he was never found and the search for him was suspended.
Two boys walking along a breakwall found human remains. They told their father, who contacted authorities.
The remains were examined by the Lucas County Coroner's Office, who identified the body as Kaplan's.
