Thief Goes On Shopping Spree With Solon Man's Credit Card

The information in this report is from the Solon Police Department.

 

A 76-year-old Solon man had his credit cards stolen by an unknown thief, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of charges being applied to his account, according to the Solon Police.

The man told police that he received a phone call from his bank's fraud division alerting him of the suspicious charges, which totaled more than $5,600.

THe charges were made locally, with about $2,200 being spent at Best Buy in Mentor and about $3,400 worth of charges from HHGregg in Mentor and Parma.

The man said he had no idea how his two credit cards were stolen.

Solon's detective bureau is investigating.
