They hosted the tournament, and won it too.

The talented Solon Comet wrestling team won the Comet Classic wrestling tournament held at Solon High last weekend.

The team collected 182 points to win, and was the only team to have every wrestler in the tournament win points.

Solon standout Anthony Collica was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler after he collected five pins a bit more than 7 minutes worth of wrestling. Collica defeated Twinsburg's Tyrone McGuinea to win the 152-pound weight class.

Also wrestling well for Solon was:

• Brandon Thompson, another Solon standout, won the 120-pound class.
• Shaquille Morehouse took 3rd place in the 170-pound division
• Chad Morris made it to the 3rd place match in the 195-pound category, but was defeated.
