This past Saturday, Solon High School's Music in Motion attended the 14th Annual Show Choir Invitational in Cuyahoga Falls, the Cuyahoga Classic.
Music in Motion competed with 13 other show choirs from Ohio and West Virginia.
In the afternoon awards, Music In Motion won Class A Grand Champion, along with awards for Best Costumes, Best Instrumental Group, and Best Technical Crew.
However, going into the finals that evening, Solon was in second place, with an overall score that was just 7 points behind the Hurricane Red Hot from Hurricane, WV.
In the finals, Music In Motion competed against Hurricane, as well as ETC's All Americans, Edgewood High School's Choraliers, Euclid High School's Varsity Chorale, and Mayfield High School's Limited Edition.
At the end of the evening, Solon was named Grand Champion. It's three such award this season, and a first for Music in Motion. Currently undefeated, the group heads into its next competition on Feb. 25 in Twinsburg at the North Coast Invitational.
