The Solon Police Department will be hiring patrol officers through the civil service testing process.

Police Chief Chris Viland said that he is down one officer and that another officer is planning to retire, so he plans to hire at least two new officers.

All testing will be done through Cuyahoga Community College.

Test dates are May 6 and May 20, 2012. See the PDFs at the right side of the page for the full packet of information.

Candidates must have a passing agility test certificate by June 17, 2012.

Certificates will be accepted if issued any time after June 2011.
